NO "CROSS-SITE SCRIPTING" - We Check to make sure that no vital information gets transmitted "cross-site".

According to Ted Bridis of the Associated Press, many computer programmers include little coding snippits in their programs called "scripts." That's ok. What's not ok is that many of these programmers are very lazy and simply "call" the program from another site. We don't do that.

Bridis continues: "The problem occurs when complex Internet sites fail to verify that hidden software code sent from a consumer's browser is safe. Experts looking at how often such filtering occurred found that Internet sites failing to perform that important safety check were 'the rule rather than the exception,' said Scott Culp, the top security program manager at Microsoft."

WE DO PERFORM THAT SAFETY CHECK ON YOUR BROWSER AND WE DO NOT USE CROSS-SITE SCRIPTING OF ANY KIND!!!! - But just so you'll know, we, and every other attractive site, use java scripting. But this kind of script does not and will not be used to transfer or read your precious information.

But just in case, it's always a good idea to delete your cookies after EVERY internet session.

ARE THE RUMORS TRUE?

What about all those nasty credit card rumors?

We don't want to scare you, but many of them are true.

Credit Card Fraud is very, very real. There are unscrupulous people in the world who go about doing people ill. We deplore both the practice and the people who do it. No penalty is too great for them.

There really are sites where your card number can be stolen.

Ours is not one of them for THREE VERY IMPORTANT REASONS:

We use double encryption algorithms - that means your precious information is in a special spy-type code when it goes to the secure server for processing, and it's in a special spy-type code when it comes back to our secure shipping desk.

All sensitive information is erased from all accessible areas upon verification - it simply cannot be retrieved because we use absolute erase programs at both ends.

All confidential information that must be stored (we have to know how to contact you in case of a delivery or other emergency) is stored off-line.

What you heard about Credit Card Processors is True - there are some credit card processing programs out there that simply didn't make it past the Y2K bug, and they charge your card over and over and over again. Well, ours doesn't. And the reason is that we spent a lot of time choosing our credit card processor. We use Sterling Payment Technologies and use a credit card processing terminal just as you see in a retail store.

Can my credit card or other personal info be stolen?

Yes! Just not here.

Please check your order on arrival and report any damage in writing within 7 days of delivery.

All merchandise that arrives in a damaged condition will be replaced upon return of the damaged goods.

We recommend UPS or Fedex for returns.

Our policy is to replace any item that arrives in a damaged condition. We do not give refunds for damaged goods. We do pay the postage when we send you a replacement. However, we must ask that you pay the postage for the return of the item.

Should an item you ordered be out of stock, you will be notified by email. We can offer a substitute item or recalculate your order.

RATES All shipping rates are based on the total or "gross weight" of the package and product. Note that we quote the net weight of food product as required by US Federal regulations. As you add items to the shopping cart you will see the Shipping charge as a line item. The shipping charge includes packaging costs. Please note the shipping region and service options. We always check the final shipping charge and will adjust the charge if deemed necessary. You will be notified by email if the charge is greater and request your approval before processing.

Most shipments within the US to customers in the USA take from 1 - 2 weeks. With exception of Alaska and Hawaii, our standard carrier is UPS. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are sent by USPS Priority mail. You may email us to arrange a faster mode of delivery where possible. But in any case, to avoid disappointment, make sure you order well ahead of the holiday in question.

Shipments to Canada are sent by US Airmail unless otherwise requested. Shipments to Canada may be subject to Canadian Import duty. Customers are responsible for import tariffs and fees, if any and settle these direct with the carrier.

You may email us to see if we can speed things up during the Holiday rush, but, short of charging you more for a faster service, we usually can't. So make sure you order well ahead of the holiday period in question.
